Ryan (he/him)

M.A., Registered Provisional Psychologist

Hello there! My name is Ryan Doucet, and I’m a Provisional Psychologist offering comprehensive psychological assessments for children, youth, and adults. I provide in-person services in Calgary South. While some components of the assessment process may be completed virtually, in-person testing is currently required.

I offer assessments for a range of concerns, including psychoeducational evaluations, autism assessments, ADHD assessments, and giftedness evaluations. My work focuses on identifying neurodevelopmental conditions, and mental health challenges that may be impacting academic, occupational, or personal functioning.

My approach to assessment is collaborative, neuroaffirming, and strengths-based. I aim to create a supportive environment where clients feel informed, respected, and empowered throughout the process. I value clear communication and ensure that each assessment leads to practical, meaningful recommendations tailored to support individual goals.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mount Allison University and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. My background includes experience in research, healthcare, and community-based mental health, supporting individuals across the lifespan.

I’m committed to providing thorough and respectful assessments that help individuals better understand themselves and access the supports they need. If you are considering an assessment, I invite you to contact me for a free consultation to determine whether my services align with your needs.

Our practice is situated on Treaty 7 land, the traditional territory of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. This territory is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Districts 5 and 6. As treaty people, and settlers on this land, we aim to honour and acknowledge all First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples as the traditional keepers of the lands we work and live on. This recognition is a beginning to the work of reconciliation and decolonization we are committed to as individuals, and as practitioners in the field of psychology, which has historically been an instrument of oppression rather than of liberation.
